Safe school is a concept that is currently gaining ground all over the world. This concept arose as a result of series of violent activities occurring in many schools which have adversely affected the health of school children and adolescents. The gun violence or shooting in many schools in the Western nations such as the United States of America (Jashinsky, Magnusson, Hanson, & Barnes, 2016; Gopal, & Greenwood, 2017; Galea, Branas, Flescher, Formica, Hennig, Liller, et al, 2018), has become a national concern and discourse for many stakeholders to find a lasting solution to the menace.
