Nigerian nurse who got int’l recognition opens her own radio station to teach health matters

A Nigerian lady, Mary Ozuruonye Agholor, has spoken on the need to celebrate nurses because of the significant function they perform – Mary revealed she wants to tell people that preventive health is important as a way to better the lives of people – The nurse said that she was one of the outstanding nurses in the world recognised by international medical organisations in collaboration with WHO. A Nigerian lady, Mary Ozuruonye Agholor, has spoken on the need to celebrate nurses because of the significant function they perform – Mary revealed she wants to tell people that preventive health is important as a way to better the lives of people – The nurse said that she was one of the outstanding nurses in the world recognised by international medical organisations in collaboration with WHO.

Mary Ozuruonye Agholor, has set out to disabuse the minds of many who think only people with poor mental ability go into the profession. The lady said after realizing that there is more to being a nurse, she went into teaching people about preventive health. To do that, Mary, an indigene of Delta state, started an online radio station that she uses for such a purpose. She added that preventive health helps to increase life expectancy and also makes people detect any illness fast enough. Many people have praised Mary’s effort in contributing to health.

Mary disclosed that she has taken her medical outreach to rural areas, churches, and mosques in order to spread information about the advantages of preventive health. The passionate nurse said that the reason why she went into broadcast media is because she wants to stop the bad portrayal of nurses.
